Legislative

The Legislative Committee reviews proposed legislation and determines whether or not to support, oppose, or take other action (or no action) on behalf of the Association. The committee is responsible for developing and/or reviewing proposed legislation, lobbying efforts, and the initiating telephone and letter writing campaigns when necessary.

Resolutions

The Resolutions Committee develops policies and directives for the Association. These resolutions provide a framework within which the Association’s Board of Directors, committees, and staff work.

Education

The Education Committee provides educational opportunities for Association members and the general public. The Committee accomplishes this through seminars, conventions, workshops, leadership development programs, the Association newsletter, and the Otto Otter water safety program.

Water Quality

The Water Quality Committee helps Association members stay up to date on water quality standards and regulations, invasive species issues, and other state and federal programs.

Nominating & Awards

The Nominating & Awards Committee helps the Association and its members recognize individuals and organizations for their effort to manage and protect Idaho's water resources. Awards include Karen Joy Edwards Hall of Fame, Ted Diehl Award for Meritorious Service, Water Guardian Award, Water Management Award, Outstanding Service Award, Water Statesman Award, Distinguished Service Award and Outstanding Employee Award.

Rural & Urban Affairs

The Rural & Urban Affairs Committee provides an interface between the Association and local communities. The committee engages on issues relating to rights-of-way/easements, safety, pressure irrigation, and the role of water delivery entities in Idaho. The Committee develops brochures, webpages, videos, and other digital media.
