IWUA Events


Annual Convention

January | Boise

Annual Convention is IWUA's highest attended event. It provides IWUA members an opportunity to get updates from the Idaho Department of Water Resources, Bureau of Reclamation, and updates on other state and regional issues. 

Add ons to Annual Convention include: Awards Luncheon - providing an opportunity to recognize those who have impacted the water community; and Legislative Banquet - an opportunity for water users to interact with elected officials.

HEADGaTE

November, December | Twin Falls

January | Boise

Headgate: Idaho's Water Leadership Academy is Idaho's only leadership program developed specifically for up and coming leaders in Idaho's water industry. Participation in Headgate requires application and acceptance into the program. 

Ditchrider Workshops

February | Rotating

Ditchrider workshops provide continuing education opportunity for ditch riders. Topics are aimed to benefit attendees both  professionally and personally.

Applicator Workshops

February | Rotating

Applicator workshops provide an opportunity for licensed pesticide applicators to obtain credits to keep their ISDA issued applicator license current. 

Administrative Water Professionals MEETING

May | Glenns Ferry

This half day meeting provides an opportunity for office personnel to discuss / troubleshoot operational processes. 

Water Law & Resource Issues Seminar

June | Sun Valley

The Seminar provides IWUA members an opportunity to learn more about legal and policy issues affecting water users.

Legislative Water College

August | Regional

The legislative water college provides an opportunity for political candidates and water users to gather together to tour irrigation facilities, and discuss water issues.
